Why Color By Amber? Why not?
Sometimes it’s about taking a chance & changing your life!!
Thanks to a conversation with a great friend at the beach this summer, I was introduced to the idea of Color By Amber. My friend, Tracy, shared that she was headed over to visit our friend and colleague, Tekla (now known as the woman who brought CBA to Canada!), to check out a ground floor business opportunity with an eco-friendly socially responsible jewelry company. And I thought why not take a chance and check out some new jewelry (I mean really who doesn’t love jewelry and you can earn free jewelry;).
So we visited Tekla a few days later and that visit changed my life! I learned that the jewelry is made from 40% recycled 
eco-resin in a carbon neutral, zero landfill process in Salt Lake City. They only hand craft what customers order so they can reduce waste! They re-use products such as jeans, coffee bags (from the local coffee shops) and old catalogs (check out the shred collection). So right there the Biology teacher in me was hooked!! Eco-friendly jewelry that donates 1% of overall profits back to the the 1% for the planet fund had me hooked on the fun styles and the eco-value!
But the jewelry with a story changed how I looked at the products that I buy. Over 1/3 of the interlayers come from w
omen artisans in impoverished nations around the world. From Nepal, to Ndem, to Chiapas Mexico, the interlayers carry with them amazing stories of women bringing communities together. Whether you love the story of the solar panels in Ndem or the life changing micro-savings programs in Mali and Senegal, it truly is jewelry with a story. Not only does Color By Amber buy their product at fair-market value they work with the women artisans to grow their businesses and give back to their communities! Even better, Color By Amber donates 10% of their overall earnings (before any shareholders are paid) back to the women in the Full Circle programs!! And this year, the story of the women is changing. The women’s businesses are growing enough that now their husbands (who previously had to leave the village to find work) are able to work the businesses with their wives, which helps bring families back together!!
So why take a chance? For a $109 investment, you get great jewelry and a chance to start with a company that’s brand new in Canadian home based business. So at first, my reason was why not try it out. I love the jewelry, it’s affordable and the opportunity to build a team is possible!! Even better I thought, it will be a great way to pay for the Masters classes that I’m taking. So I jumped in August 15th, 2014 and joined Color By Amber 🙂 My first goal was to earn back my initial investment in the starter kit and two extension kits. Done!! My launch topped $1100 – I couldn’t believe it. The jewelry truly sells itself! My friends and family came out to support me and explained that they came because they also loved the story but once they started trying it on…. they couldn’t get enough of it:)
Why try? My daughter is 5 and she loves the jewelry, so it’s something that we can enjoy together! What better way for her to learn about amazing, strong business women than to hear the stories from women around the world and meet the amazing women involved with Color By Amber! Plus it’s a great way to learn about money and when she gets older and goes off to school, it will be a great job for her while she goes to school:) Plus even better, if I can save money to take her on her dream trip to Disneyland. We can spend more time together as a family!!
Goal 2 – Could I earn enough to pay for my Masters of Education in Educational Technology & Design classes? The answer is yes!!! I’ve already paid for more classes than I’ve taken 🙂 1 class done 9 to go:)
Dream Goal – Color By Amber offered a Free trip for 2 to Miami, FL for anyone that earned 15 000 points before the end of December. My goal – Miami by my birthday (at the start of December). Every day I checked my totals and recalcuated what I needed to reach my goal and slowly but surely with encouragement from my upline, my family and my amazing team members the dream became a reality!! Goal achieved November 30th!! And just a few weeks ago, my husband and I flew down for 4 days and 3 nights in Miami!! Dreams really do come true!
Being a Color By Amber Premier Stylist really is my fun job 🙂 Sharing the opportunity with friends, family and the friends I’ve yet to meet has connected me with an amazing group of positive women that encourage me every day!
